My Cute Puppy

He can entertain me for hours!!

Anni-Birth-Ary!

Last Monday and Tuesday was our 1 year anniversary and my birthday, respectively. It is hard to believe it has been an entire year. What a whirlwind! Now, sitting in bed, blogging, with my husband to the left (who is a Cop) and our 4 month old siberian husky in the next room, I see how much God has blessed us! Our lives are just amazing and I cannot wait to see what God has for our future.

Introducing Soviet James Gordon

May 29, 2011, we got ourselves a little bundle of sunshine from the Jacksonville Avenues mall: a three month male siberian husky. This has been my dream dog for so long and I can't believe I have one now. I take him on walks often and so many people stop me and the one comment they have is "he is so pretty!" He gets his middle name from the brother, Evan, because the two of them have that same very stubborn personality. It just seemed to fit. He is seriously just awesome to have around our apartment. He is super smart (very different than my childhood pet, a beagle) and within a week was leash trained and potty trained.

After having Soviet for 3 weeks, I absolutely suggest for newlyweds to get a dog. He brings a new level of our fun to our lives. It gets us outdoors...going for walks...going to the park....or the doggie beach. It gives us something to do other than watching the tube.

It also gives you a different dynamic when you and your husband have your first opportunity to dually train an animal. It can be very interesting to say the least. Me and Ben have the same ideas when training though so its nice. He is crate trained, he is not allowed in certain rooms in the apartment, we will not allow him to eat food until he is told, etc. Keep updated on The Gordons: As Parents. You won't want to miss it!
